Rangefinder Magazine 30 Rising Stars of Wedding Photography 2019
When I started my journey in wedding photography, I was told many times “you need to be a much better business person than a photographer to succeed.” I always quietly disagreed and believed great photography could take you anywhere. It’s taken me to all corners of Ireland and across Europe.
When I got an email from Rangefinder Magazine a few months back to submit my work for their competition, my jaw hit the floor. To be nominated along with over 300 of the finest photographers in the world was such an honour in itself. Then being chosen as one of the 30 Rising Stars of Wedding photography in 2019 gave me real goosebumps, it is a pure delight and vast astonishment for me.

Jessica & Vincent wedding at Martinstown House
Martinstown House wedding
A wedding that blew me away. I captured so many beautiful moments during this wedding, from start to finish it made me smile. I love shooting at Martinstown House and I love Dublin city weddings so I had 2 in 1 that day! Jessica & Vincent's day started very early in Dublin city, with the earliest ceremony I ever shot at 11:30am which took place in Trinity College chapel. Having the ceremony this early left us with plenty of time to visit The Book of Kells and drive down to Martinstown House. Have a scroll through and enjoy!

That one time when the rain didn’t show up at the Cliffs of Moher,
the wind wasn’t too crazy, but the couple was crazy in love.
And the horse ate the bouquet.
Huntington Castle & Gardens wedding | Ruth & Jason
I was very excited about shooting Ruth and Jason’s wedding at Huntington Castle.
Almost year before the wedding Ruth told me about her vision, a colourful wedding,
outdoor ceremony and lots of greenery around. Ruth and Jason eloped from Canada,
and their motto was "We had to show off Ireland to the Canadians that came over.”
I have to say Huntington Castle ticked all the boxes for them. It’s such a Fantastic
place for a wedding. Ideal for couples looking for something a little bit different and
less traditional. I can't think of any better place to get married for such an original
couple as Ruth and Jason. Check the beautiful colours of the bridesmaids, the cool
tattoos, the lads are wearing jeans including the groom. There’s so much more

A laid back wedding at The Millhouse Slane | Roisin & Sean
1. If I would ever make a list of the coolest wedding venues in Ireland The Millhouse in Slane would be definitely on it
2. If I would ever make a list of the most laid-back couples I worked with then Roisin and Sean would be at the top.
