Connemara is like another country, wild and beautiful and makes you feel like a thousand miles from civilisation.
Well it's only 2 hours drive from my place!
I've spent a wonderful few hours there with Iwona and Łukasz and am looking forward to going back there again soon.
Elopement in Ireland | Intimate wedding in Dromoland Castle
Some time ago someone asked me – Rafal what are those wedding elopements?
Well the answer is below. These intimate weddings are truly spectacular and so was this one.
Amanda and Bryan came to Ireland all the way over from Atlanta
and had their outdoor Celtic blessing ceremony in the garden at Dromoland Castle.
Their ceremony was touching, emotional and peaceful at the same time.
The beauty of the castle along with the couple's relaxed nature made my job very easy
from morning preparation to the last few minutes I spent with them.
These type of weddings gives you the freedom to go anywhere without worrying so much about the time.
So after the ceremony, we explored the grounds of the castle and I also got a chance to eventually visit the Burren.
Irish Elopement in Roundwood House | McCaela & Joe
I felt a connection with McCaela and Joe from the very start, and was excited to be a part of this intimate Irish elopement.
I couldn’t have asked for more upon hearing their special plans for the day, or their location.
It was very clear how in love they were, and how special this relationship was.
They chose to get married in their hometown of Boston about a month before they came to Ireland,
to exchange their vows in Roundwood House - a truly magical place,
ideal for small, intimate, emotional ceremonies. And of course, their ceremony didn’t disappoint on any of those levels!
There wasn’t a dry eye in the house (including my own) as the pair exchanged their vows,
and I truly felt as though I was a part of something magical. The warm, inviting atmosphere allowed everyone to relax,
feel comfortable, and enjoy the most touching moments between McCaela and Joe, and I’m truly honoured I was able to be a part of it.
