A small intimate wedding at The Shelbourne Hotel | Grainne & James
May was, without a doubt, a popular month for Dublin city weddings,
I shot there every weekend. I especially love shooting around St. Stephen's Green.
The Park is just at your fingertips and if you find it a bit too crowdy then Iveagh Gardens
is just around the corner. This time I joined Grainne and James for their intimate
wedding at the Shelbourne Hotel. The ceremony took place in the George Moore Suite
followed by the reception and dinner in the beautiful Constitution room.
The atmosphere of the day and everyone who was a part of it was so incredibly relaxed,
to the point where I felt like I was a guest myself.
Enjoy and press play.
Spring wedding in Farnham Estate | Maureen & Paul
You can easily tell after a few pictures below that Maureen and Paul are
really into music- these vinyl invitations are real and filled with music!
This fun-filled wedding in Farnham Estate was a fantastic start of my busy season.
I always liked shooting here including a risky ride to the nearby lake in a wobbly golf cart.
Enjoy.
A laidback and intimate winter wedding at The Cliff at Lyons
Seven months before Becky and Cameron's wedding at The Cliff at Lyons we met to talk about their plans for the Big day
and to see their venue. I was amazed by the entire place; I couldn't wait to see it again in December lit up with all Christmas decor.
Cliff at Lyons has everything, the beautifully designed conservatory, ideal for small intimate weddings to the exquisite
grounds and architecture. If you are looking for a wedding venue with everything under one roof - that's the place for you definitely.
A few words from Becky and Cameron about their wedding at the Cliff at Lyons.
The minute we visited the Village at Lyons, we were really keen to have our wedding there.
It is an amazing historic location in a unique rural setting along the banks of the Grand Canal.
We wanted to find a place where all of our closest family and friends could come together
from all over the world and totally feel welcome, relaxed and at home. We took over the entire hotel
for two days and it was a wonderful experience - everywhere we turned we ran into friends
and family as the excitement started to build for the celebration itself. It was the perfect venue for
a Winter wedding as it was cosy and secluded and warm and the beautiful buildings
and surrounding gardens made for a beautiful backdrop to our day.
Becky: The whole day was out of this world but one of my most memorable moments was with Cameron,
after the ceremony and after greeting guests, we left to have photographs taken. It was surreal,
beautiful and peaceful outside, Cameron and I were in a world of our own, very in love and very happy,
we only had eyes for each other. There was another moment during dinner, when I realised
we had done it and everyone we love we had with us, enjoying the special day. We absorbed the moment
and took the time to watch our friends and family, the feeling of love and warmth, I won't ever forget.
Cameron: There are lots of parts of the day which really stick out, hosting the breakfast buffet
and seeing everyone so excited for the day, walking around the gardens and bumping into
all of our friends and family, having a real laugh getting ready with my best man and son
but the highlight of the day for me was when I saw Becky turn the corner and walk down the wedding aisle
for the first time. It felt like time stood till as she walked towards me and the entire room of people disappeared
and all I could see was her smiling face and how incredibly beautiful she looked.
Becky: It is ok not to have a very clear idea what you want when you start. We found for us,
it was a process and our own expectations changed over time in terms of what we wanted on the day.
The venue was probably the most important choice as it influences so much else of what the experience ended up being like.
Destination Wedding Photographer in Canary Islands | Warm Lanzarote wedding in October
Destination Wedding Photographer | Warm Lanzarote wedding in October
Gerry and Elena got married on the Island of Lanzarote, Canary Islands.
They both have a very special connection to the Island as Gerry used to live here many years ago,
so it meant the world to them to get married in the place that brings back so many memories of days gone by.
To be part of anyone’s wedding day is a privilege but I have to say, to be flown out to Lanzarote
as a destination wedding photographer was a huge buzz for me, it's not everyday you get to wear shorts to a wedding.
Spending five days here was amazing, seeing the sandy beaches, the volcanic mountains and feeling that heat!
So you can imagine scouting the Island was pretty exciting. The day of the wedding was beautiful.
An outdoor ceremony with a view on the ocean. Great rock music performed by groom's brother and his band.
It was a huge surprise when Elena jumped up onto the drums and Gerry took lead Guitar.
I loved every day I spent there especially when you travel from cold and wet Ireland in October.
So I have to say I'm really looking forward to shooting a wedding in Portugal this Autumn.
If you are interested in getting married on an island, an elopement or an intimate wedding,
don’t hesitate to contact me. I’m looking forward travelling with you!
Fun-filled Rathmullan House wedding | H & C | Donegal photographer
Helena and Cathal got married in one of my favourite wedding venues in Donegal, Rathmullan House.
It has so much wildness and beauty which can be seen all around. You just have to walk out the front door
and you're instantly greeted by its beautiful surrounding landscape. Helena and Cathal's wedding was great fun
from start to finish. Their day was very unique and the music was a huge part of their day and its uniqueness,
their first dance was to the romantic Falling Slowly by Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova,
which was performed by Cathal’s brother and sister in law.
Here are some highlights from their beautiful Spring Rathmullan House wedding
